Valentine's Day Floral

Choosing Valentine's Day floral is often a last minute on your to-do list which is why we leave it to a florist to go forward with your typical dozen roses or whatever may be in stock at the time. We're here to help give you more inspiration before pulling the trigger on your bouquet of affection this February 14th. We've put together a variety of curated bouquets for you to view and give direction for picking out your sweetheart's (or yourself!) a lovely arrangement.

Picking flowers.

While there are many who love an arrangement of red roses, we can bet your special someone would appreciate a more tailored bouquet according to their tastes. Ask your florist what is trending or be prepared to have a picture to show or send them of what you think your loved one would enjoy most. We are seeing lots of blush and nude tones with dark berry floral and pops of exotic greenery. White poppies are a very trendy look these day we can't get enough of!

It's all about that vase.

Give some thought not only in your floral selection, but the container in which your beautiful arrangement will be showcased. What does your loved one's living space look like and how can you gift them with not only the hand-picked selection of floral, but a gorgeous vase they will be able to display for years to come. We love the look of our non-traditional, but oh-so- chic black diamond vase (pictured above) or opt for a planter type container where they can recycle it for a more sustainable succulent or fern like the adorable milk glass hobnail planter below (available in our shop).

Not every floral bouquet needs to be in an upright vase. Show off your extravagant floral selection in something more bold like our Brass Gold Pedestal Bowl. Not only can it be used for floral and plants, but it can also serve as a home accent piece with special trinkets or use for a dinner or special occasion by serving delicious bites in it.

DIY floral.

Let's be honest, a Valentine's Day bouquet can be quite costly. If you don't have the means for a florist arrangement, we are here to help you put one together! We know you have several empty or near empty candle containers in your home. Clean them out by popping them in the freezer for several hours. The leftover wax should pop right out and you can easily clean the candle holder with warm soap and water. Head to your local grocer and pick up a bouquet arrangement or a variety of single selections. Visit our blog for a quick tutorial of putting together your own arrangement with store bought selections. Your loved one will be so impressed with the time you took to put together a special arrangement just for them! See our arrangement below of traditional red roses with berries and a recycled candle container. It's that easy and a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for a professionally arranged bouquet!

We hope these floral arrangements have sowed goodness into your week! Please feel free to message us with any questions or comments about putting together your own arrangement at info@shopwheat.com .
