Olympic Charcuterie

We had dreams of putting together a beautiful charcuterie board with big rings of fruit and the rest filled in with red and white stripes of goodies for a very patriotic Olympic theme. And our dreams came tumbling down...literally. The fruit wouldn't stay in place for the rings, and the red and white stripes blurred together looking very elementary to say the least. Not our best performance.

So we improvised.

Just like in sports, we can't predict anything. It may not be the gold medal of charcuterie, but we tried and we'll be happy with silver or bronze (or even one of those kid participation trophies 🤣).

Check below for the complete shopping list you'll need to put together this festive charcuterie. We hope you enjoy it while you cheer on your favorite 2020 Olympians!

Shopping List:

- Blackberries (2 small cartons)

- Strawberries (1 carton, sliced)

- Blueberries (1 large carton)

- Raspberries ( 1 carton)

- Cherries (1 carton)

- Star Yogurt Dipped Pretzels

- Havarti Cheese (1 small block, sliced)

- Wisconsin Cheese Curds ( 1 small package)

- Raspberry Coated Goat Cheese Log ( sliced) - This will go great with the shortbread cookies!

- Yogurt Covered Raisins (small bag)

- Dried Cranberries (small bag)

- Cookie Twills

- Mint Sprigs for Olympic garnish

- Swirl Short Bread Cookies for Olympic rings

Line your board with a border of blackberries. From here, circle around the board and fill in by alternating red and white snacks leaving enough room in the middle for your blueberries, cranberries and cookies. Fill the middle with blueberries and dried cranberries. Top with your shortbread cookies in the shape of Olympic rings and garnish with mint on the sides for a completed Olympic crest look. All the ingredients we used for this board came from ALDI foods!
