Irish Coffee

"I never understood why people ordered an Irish coffee until I had it made correctly. Wow. Insanely delicious. It's the perfect after-dinner treat or evening pick-me-up. So what's the secret to the perfect Irish coffee? It's all about the fresh cream on top!" - Brittany


Here's a recipe for a no-fail, perfect Irish coffee you will want to serve at your next brunch or dinner party.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cold heavy cream

  • 3 tbsp. Irish Cream Liquor

  • 2 tbsps. Irish whiskey

  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar

  • strong brewed hot coffee

  • chocolate shavings

  • nutmeg

  • cinnamon stick for garnish

Directions

  1. In a chilled bowl combine the heavy cream and Irish Cream Liquor. Whip with an electric mixer until stiff and fluffy. Set aside.

  2. To your mug or glass coup, add 2 tablespoons whiskey, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and 1 cup coffee. Top with a very generous layer of the whipped cream. The more generous of a whipped cream layer, the better!

  3. Sprinkle on chocolate shavings and nutmeg. Add cinnamon stick for garnish.

  4. Drink the coffee through the cream and enjoy!
