Making fresh raspberry jam isn't hard. This recipe is perfect to use when you want to add a little something special to breakfast on top of warm biscuits or elevate wine and cheese night with this beautiful jam! Once you make this yourself, it will be hard to go back to store-bought!
Raspberry Jam
4 cups raspberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture is boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring frequently. Cook until mixture has thickened and leaves a trail behind your spoon when you stir. This should take somewhere between 12 and 15 minutes.
When jam has thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a clean glass jar. Let cool completely before covering and refrigerating.
Pro-tips
We like to mash the berries as they boil and make a smoother jam.
you can substitute basically any fruit - strawberry, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, etc. to make jams.
Makes an excellent cake filling!
