Classic Southern Pimento Cheese

This family recipe for pimento cheese is about as southern as you can get. The classic spread is perfect for a sandwich or a crowd pleasing dip with crackers and veggies. The best part is you most likely have everything in your fridge already and it takes less than 5 minutes to make!

Classic Pimento Cheese Recipe

4 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese

8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)

1/2 cup of diced pimentos, roasted

1/2 cup thinly-sliced green onions

1/3 cup mayo

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Salt and Pepper to taste

Tabasco sauce or jalapeño to taste (optional)

  1. Combine all ingredients in stand mixer and whip together well. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. For extra depth of flavor and add a few drops of Tabasco sauce or jalapeño to your liking!

  2. Spread onto classic white bread for sandwiches or serve in a bowl with your favorite chips or crackers.
